Cabbage Leaves for Engorged Breasts

Yes, cabbage leaves are shaped the way that they are shaped for a good, natural reason! :)

Be sure to have a green head of cabbage in your crisper when your milk comes in from having a baby. Put a cabbage leaf on each breast (even on the sides of the breast) and then put your bra on if you are experiencing painful engorgement. It will take the heat out of your breast tissue and it will literally steam and wilt the cabbage leaf.

Be sure to wash off your nipple well before nursing your baby, so they will still latch on. This really does work wonders. It is also helpful in weaning your baby if you experience engorgement at that time.
