1. Decide to get well
Commitment. Part of healing is painful.
2. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can't be both.

God's process is to bless those who curse you (enemies). Bless means to talk well about them.
3. Realize you are not the only one hurting.
1 Peter 5:9
4. Sow seeds by helping someone else.
Be a blessing to someone else on purpose.
Galations 6:10
1 Thes. 5:15
5. Take full responsibility for your actions and stop making excuses.
6. Face the truth (about yourself).
The truth will set you free. Be honest about you and your circumstances.
John 8:31-32
Sometimes you must confess your sin to be over it

7. When it becomes painful or difficult, don't run.
Jonah ran and still ended up where God told him to go!
Genesis 16: 6-9
Hagar, Abram and Sarah - Hagar ran and the Angel said; "Go back and submit."
Do not run because it is uncomfortable.
8. Forgive and totally release those who have hurt you. If you have done something, forgive yourself.
Matthew 18
You can't collect what has been taken from you. But, for your former shame, I will give you double!
God is our vindicator. He will settle our case.
Forgiveness is about following God's steps.
9. Stop blaming and move on.
